2024 Republican Senate District 36 Convention

2024 Convention Call

Pursuant to the provisions of the Constitution of the Republican Party of Minnesota, Delegates and Alternates residing within the boundaries of Senate District 36 who were elected at their precinct caucus held February 27, 2024 are called to a Republican Party District Organizing
Convention to meet on:

Saturday, April 6th from 9:00am to 1:00pm

Liberty Classical Academy

3878 Highland Ave, White Bear Lake, MN 55110

Registration and check-in will begin at 9:00 am, with convention start at 10:00 am 
Registration and check-in may close at 10:30am. 

Cost: $20.00

Delegates are to be seated first and, if necessary, alternates will be seated to replace delegates who do not attend.

The purpose of the convention is to:

  1. Consider any proposed changes to the Constitution and Bylaws specific to the Senate District 36 Republican organization.

   2. Nominate and Elect Delegates and Alternates to:

– CD 4 Republicans Convention on Saturday, April 27th, 2024

– CD 6 Republicans Convention onSaturday, May 4th at the Mayer Lutheran HS

            – Republican State Central Committee meetings

            – Republican Party of Minnesota State Convention on May 16-18, 2024

    3. Vote on any Platform Resolutions from the Precinct Caucus on Feb 27th, 2024

    4. Listen to 2024 Statewide, CD4, or local Republican Candidate Speeches

    5. Conduct any other business pertaining to Senate District 36 Republicans

Please Note: A person doesn’t have to be an SD36 delegate or alternate to attend the convention or be nominated and voted on to be a delegate or alternate for the CD4 and/or MNGOP State Conventions.  However, only SD36 Delegates (or alternates seated in place of a delegate) can vote on candidate nominations, any motions or amendments, and other required business during the meeting.

To attend on April 6th you need to meet the following requirements:

  1. A resident within MN SD36
  2. Eligible to vote and will be at least 18 years of age on November 5th, 2024
  3. In agreement with the principles of the Republican party of Minnesota
  4. Have voted or affiliated with the party in the last general election or intend to do so in the next general election.

To be nominated and voted on to be a delegate at the CD4 and/or MNGOP State Convention, you must:

1.              Meet the above requirement

2.         Be in attendance at the MN SD36 Convention on April 6th, 2024
