Recall Brion Curran Petition Submitted
I have never seen anything quite like this. I have been at this political game for three years now. I have been frustrated at how few conservatives were willing to get off the couch.
THINGS HAVE CHANGED!
Less than two weeks ago, we put out a call at 4:00 PM to meet at 7:00 PM to sign the Petition to Recall Representative Brion Curran. 52 people showed up! We collected 52 signatures, enough to qualify for recall submission.
On Thursday, we submitted the completed petition to the Minnesota Secretary of State with over 70 signatures. Only 25 are required.

The next step is for the Supreme Court to review the petition to confirm that the reasons for recall are valid. Here are the reasons listed in the petition.
That on January 12, 2025, Representative Curran engaged in malfeasance or the intentional commission of an unlawful or wrongful act by engaging in an unlawful swearing-in by failing to present the officiant with documentation sufficient to demonstrate prima facie evidence of the right to membership in the House of Representatives for the 94th Minnesota Legislature. (Minnesota State Statutes 3.02)
Representative Curran has engaged in nonfeasance by failing to attend a single session of the House of Representatives. Beginning January 14, 2025, and then January 27-31, 2025, Representative Curran has failed to be present at the convening of sessions of the House of Representatives. The constitution requires a quorum of legislators to transact business, which through her failure to fulfill her duty to attend sessions of the House, she has caused the House to be unable to transact business. (Minnesota State Statutes 3.05; and Minnesota Constitution Article IV, Section 13)
Representative Curran’s actions constitute nonfeasance by her failing to be present in sessions of the House and not having the consent of the other house to not be assembled for more than three days. (Minnesota Constitution Article IV, Section 12)
That from January 14, 2025, onward Representative Curran engaged in nonfeasance by failing to perform her constitutional and inherent duty to represent her constituents by not attending the initial organizing session and all subsequent sessions thereafter of the Minnesota House of Representatives. Representative Curran failed to perform the basic requirements of her office by being unavailable to create a quorum and not being able to engage in the legislative process on behalf of the residents of her House District.
